JK Rowling has yet again come under the spotlight on social media due to her position regarding trans rights. She has come under fire for her position regarding trans rights. The Harry Potter writer is being accused of being a “Holocaust Denier” for claiming that trans people weren’t affected by the Holocaust. This is a reaction to her March 13 tweet, in which she called the notion of Nazis destroying books regarding transgender health research and treatment a “fever dream.” At the time, UK journalist Rivkah Brown criticized the 58-year-old author of Harry Potter for not acknowledging the events that took place during the Holocaust.

“I just… how? How did you write this in and then hit send without thinking, ‘I ought to look up my sources as it could be the result of a dream?” Rowling tweeted as she posted a photo which reads, “The Nazis burnt books on trans health and research. Why are you so eager to promote their beliefs about gender?”

Her comments were a hit on social media as people slammed one of the best-selling writers in the world for her anti-trans rights stance, which led to a popular hashtag. “JK Rowling is a Holocaust” was previously trending on Twitter and X.
Why is the hashtag “JK Rowling is a Holocaust denier” being used on X?
Rowling is facing new criticism after Brown apologized on her behalf on Twitter, and she said that she has deleted her tweet of March 13. “On 13 March, I tweeted that JK Rowling is a Holocaust denier. The claim was untrue and insensitive. I’ve removed the article and apologized to JK Rowling.”
On 13 March I tweeted that JK Rowling “is a Holocaust denier”. That allegation was false and offensive. I have deleted it and apologise to JK Rowling.

After Brown removed her tweet, internet users exploded yet again, blaming Rowling for her oppression. “J.K. Rowling is threatening to sue anyone who justly criticizes the things she claims are against trans,” a user said.
She is only able to do this within the UK where the law of defamation allows those who have money to restrict freedom of speech. JK Rowling is a Holocaust disbeliever, who denies that trans people were victimized.”
Another commenter jokingly chimed in, “Now it’s clear why he hit the block button twice on me. He knows his legal team’s hands didn’t reach across the pond to take care of me.😂”
